As a Functional Assessor, you will use your clinical knowledge in a new way—carrying out structured assessments that help understand how a person’s health condition or disability impacts their daily life. The Role
Working in a hybrid model from the Luton Assessment Centre and home, you will conduct assessments via face-to-face, telephone, or video consultations. You will gather information, review medical evidence, and produce detailed, objective reports to support decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting structured functional assessments for individuals applying for PIP
- Exploring how physical, mental health, or cognitive conditions affect daily living
- Reviewing medical evidence and supporting documentation
- Producing clear, accurate, and evidence-based clinical reports
- Applying professional judgement while working within clinical and quality guidelines
This role does not involve diagnosing, treating, or making benefit decisions. Your focus is on delivering fair, impartial, and high-quality assessments.

To be considered, you must have:
- HCPC registration as a Paramedic
- Minimum of 12 months post-registration clinical experience
- Strong communication, observation, and report writing skills
- Good IT proficiency and ability to work with digital systems
- Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
