As a Functional Assessor, you will use your clinical knowledge to conduct health assessments for individuals applying for Personal Independence Payment (PIP). This role focuses on understanding how conditions and disabilities impact daily living, rather than diagnosing or treating patients.
The Role
You will carry out consultations via face-to-face, telephone, or video assessments, reviewing medical evidence and producing clear, accurate reports to support decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting structured functional assessments in a professional and empathetic manner
- Reviewing medical history and supporting evidence
- Producing detailed, high-quality written reports
- Applying clinical judgement within defined guidelines
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment
About You
- HCPC registered Paramedic
- Minimum of 12 months post-registration clinical experience
- Strong communication and report writing skills
- Good IT literacy and ability to work with digital systems
- Ability to work independently while maintaining quality standards
- Full right to work in the UK
