Lead Speech & Language Therapist
Summary
Part-time Lead Speech & Language Therapist role supporting adults within specialist rehabilitation and secure services. Focus on assessment, treatment planning, and team leadership within a multidisciplinary setting.
Overview
Salary: £30,000 – £33,000 per year. Part-time, 22.5 hours per week. Onsite working. Fully remote working is not available.
HCPC registration required. Postgraduate qualification awarded by RCSLT required. Relevant post-registration experience within a specialist area required.
Right to Work in the UK is required.
What you’ll do
- Manage and coordinate individual speech and language therapy treatment plans
- Assess referrals and prioritise patient needs
- Deliver interventions on an individual and group basis
- Support patients with communication and swallowing difficulties, including dysphagia
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records
- Lead and support junior team members
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes
- Contribute to development of therapy practices and services
What you’ll need
- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
- HCPC registration
- Postgraduate qualification recognised by RCSLT
- Experience in a specialist clinical area
- Experience working with dysphagia and clinical assessments
- Leadership or Band 7 level experience, or readiness to step into leadership
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in supervision and reflective practice
